Gyeongbokgung Palace (경복궁) was the main royal palace of the Joseon dynasty. Gyeongbokgung Palace is the largest of the Five Grand Palaces built by the Joseon dynasty. Gyeongbokgung served as the home of Kings of the Joseon dynasty, the Kings’ households, as well as the government of Joseon. Gyeongbokgung Palace is also a symbol of 14th-century Korea, striking a muted balance between beauty and simplicity.

As you all know, Seoul is the capital of South Korea. Seoul is a huge metropolis where modern skyscraper, high-tech subway, and futuristic building design are located. But, Seoul also has some temples and palaces which culture can be found in this metropolis city. So, in my second day in Seoul, I tried to visit some of them and tried a culture experience through renting a hanbok.

Half Day Exploring Seoul

Actually, this was itinerary of my first day in Seoul and because of I travelled from Indonesia and went to Hotel to check in first, so we (me and my friend) just had a half day for exploring Seoul. We arrived at Incheon International Airport at 8am, did our immigration checking, breakfast at airport, and finally arrived safely in our hotel in Myeongdong area at 13:00. So, we started exploring Seoul at 14:00. Our first location to be visited was Myeongdong Catholic Cathedral. We just need to walk 10 min. to go there from our hotel.
